Iceland is part of the European Economic Area (EEA) agreement between the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) and the European Union (EU), giving Icelandic and foreign-owned companies located in Iceland full access to the internal market of the EU and the free movement of persons, goods, services and capital across European state borders.
Iceland has an extensive Free Trade Agreement with China, signed April 15, 2013.
Combined with Iceland‘s membership of the common European Market, its ideal location between North America and Europe, as well as an advanced business environment and infrastructure, this FTA with China opens new opportunities for investors seeking to export to the world‘s fastest growing market.
